1961 Linemar, Flintstone Turnover Tank in Original Box
Beautiful near mint example of Linemar's scarce Flintstone Turnover Tank. Comes complete with high grade original box with barely any wear. Clockwork driven all tin litho and works great! Terrific lithography features all of the main characters. Tank surface resembles stone and logs. Marked Linemar, Japan and includes Hanna-Barbera copyright. Wind up the attached key and move side lever to GO. It moves forward. Suddenly from beneath the chassis a 2-dimensional Fred begins raising the tank vertically until it turns over backwards and lands right-side up. The spring which raised Fred releases leaving him flattened against the bottom again. The cycle repeats. Full color box is illustrated in the style of the actual TV show. Shows an angry Fred lifting the tank with Wilma and Barney inside. The two other main panels show Fred flexing his muscles while Barney, Betty, Dino, and Baby Puss look on. Top and bottom flaps have Fred and Barney standing next to each other. You can also easily see it's original ".57" price stamped on top. Size: 3¾". Sold: Oct. 2010
